I'm glad you want to learn how to create a website for your ministry. One of my desires is to help flood the Internet with the
teachings of God found in the Bible.
It used to be that our teachings were confined to one room in one
building, taught once and never to be shared again. But on the
Internet, our teachings can be available to people around the world, 24
hours a day, 7 days a week.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is the most powerful message ever
delivered. And the Internet is the most powerful delivery
mechanism ever invented. That's an almost unbeatable combination to
help us fulfill Jesus' Great Commission:
"Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation"
(Mark 16:15, NIV).
I'm glad you want to be part of this flood.
But I also know it's easy to be intimidated by the task of creating a website.
So one of my goals for this class is to take the
mystery out of creating a website. I hope this will increase your
confidence that you really can create a website of your own.
The class will take about 3 hours to complete (give or
take a little depending on how long you spend on each exercise). It's divided into three
sections, each about an hour long.
In Section 1, you'll learn enough to create and
publish a functional website of your own.
In Section 2, you'll learn how to dress it up a bit, make
it easier to maintain for you, and make it easier for your guests to navigate.
In Section 3, you'll learn how to help people
find your website and how to add advanced features like
newsletters, forms, and audio and video.
When you're finished,
you'll be armed with enough tools to create and publish a
fully-functional, attractive, and highly effective website on the
Internet.
P.S. One reason I feel confident you'll succeed in
this class is because I've been praying for you. I'm praying that
God will help you to understand and learn the concepts taught here so
that you can be as effective as possible in sharing the truths He's
shared with you.
