About Eric Elder

Eric Elder is an author, speaker & contemporary pianist with a passion for sharing Christ with others.

Eric is also an ordained pastor and a technology expert, having worked as a technology researcher for a Fortune 10 corporation for nine years prior to going into full-time ministry in 1995.

This unique combination of skills led USA Today to call him “a new breed of evangelist,” referring to his groundbreaking work of sharing Christ over the Internet (at theranch.org) with thousands of people every day in over 200 countries (read the article here).

Eric has written for numerous publications, including Billy Graham’s Decision Magazine (read the article here), and has spoken at conferences internationally.

Eric has also produced a wealth of books and music for his own ministry (browse the bookstore here).

Eric was married to Lana (Olivero) Elder for 23 years and they had six children. Lana passed into heaven in 2012 after a 9-month battle with cancer. Eric remarried in 2023 to author, speaker, and evangelist Heidi (Studer) Elder.
